Patricia Levesque, Executive Director of ExcelinEd in Action, issued the following statement on the passage of Tennessee’s student-centered 2025 budget:

“Tennessee’s latest budget will continue the Volunteer State’s dedication to student success. This budget represents a comprehensive commitment to enhancing financial support and opportunities for students across the state, including an innovative pathway to connect more rural students with high-demand and high-paying careers.

“I commend Gov. Bill Lee, Leader William Lamberth, Leader Jack Johnson, Rep. Patsy Hazlewood and Sen. Bo Watson for their tireless efforts in championing students and families. Their commitment ensures that Tennessee’s educational landscape continues to innovate, providing students with the resources and opportunities they need to thrive, both in school and onto careers. Together, they are paving the way for a more promising tomorrow for Tennessee’s youth.”
