It’s a new year and a new opportunity to advance education policy that changes lives.  

To prepare for the kickoff of 2024 legislative sessions, it’s important to look back on 2023 trends in education. What priorities were hot in the states last year and why? Can we expect to see more states following suit in 2024?   

The “From Policy to Action” series delves into the transformative, student-centered education policies state leaders successfully passed in 2023. From early literacy to math, teacher pipeline, school choice, charter school funding and financial literacy initiatives—we identify and dig deeper into these education trends from more than a dozen states last session.
